The Xvand team is known for rising to any challenge their clients face, and undertakes many of these as pro bono initiatives. When longtime client, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale of Gallery Furniture asked Xvand owner Victor Grinshtein to assist with a new project, we were happy to help.
Mack’s Work Texas initiative is designed to get Houstonians back to work, and the Xvand team, led by Daniel Zatopek and Kyle Peterson was eager to get involved right away.
The Work Texas initiative offers many programs to help unemployed Houstonians in developing the skills needed to successfully find work. This includes providing Human Resources support, help with social media, resume writing, mock interviews, and online job searches.
To have the location ready for the grand opening, the Xvand team transformed the Grand Parkway atrium into space that accommodates multiple, fully functional workstations. While this site was not designed for this ambitious project, Daniel and Kyle’s expertise produced an incredible success. Xvand’s donation of nearly 80 hours of work on the project, as well as the physical materials needed to get the space up to spec, significantly reduced costs of the transformation.
People like Daniel and Kyle are great examples of the character of the Xvand team. Working together for a great cause is something in which the Xvand team takes great pride.
